January 28, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Seattle based indie label Spartan Records is proud to announce the signing of Norwegian hardcore band Barren Womb and the upcoming release of their debut full-length album, The sun’s not yellow, it’s chicken, onMarch 11th .  The record will be available digitally and on limited edition vinyl, which can be pre-ordered now athttp://spr.tn/barrenwomb.
In anticipation for the upcoming release, BrooklynVegan.com has premiered the first new track, “Kill Hicks,” today.  Stream it now at http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2014/01/norwegian_hardc.html.
“”Kill Hicks” was one of the last songs we finished up for the record, and it came together fast,” says guitarist/vocalist Tony Gonzahl.  “We had this kind of bluegrass influenced riff kicking about for a little while, but hadn’t really had the chance to do much with it. Then one day we started jamming and that riff came up. A couple of hours later we had the song pretty much done.  Although there is a lot of beauty to humanity, I feel that right now the negative far outweighs the positive. This is not a holier-than-thou attitude, I most definitely see myself as part of the problem.  Lyrically Kill Hicks deals with apathy and the bleak future ahead of us if we continue on this path.”

Booze & Glory – Only Fools Get Caught

BOOZE & GLORY suffer no curiosity towards anything but their tried and true brand of hook-laden, red-brick sidewalk stompin’, Skinhead Oi! Rock ‘N’ Roll. They have no interest in detouring into awkward metal riffs, compromising mainstream tendencies or any other fraudulent leanings.  BOOZE & GLORY stick to who they are, what they know, and what they love — working class Oi!
They herald their love of their favorite football team, West Ham United. They recant the tales of pub sessions with good friends and cold booze and the struggles of being a drinking man on a workingman’s wage. And they tell the stories of friends gone wrong and life gone astray. Influenced by their English forefathers such as The Cockney Rejects, The Business and the 4-Skins, BOOZE & GLORY are poised to charge forward hard and far as the primary contemporary carriers of the British Oi! torch.

Sunday, August 25th @ 11AM at The Art Theatre of Long Beach

Vannen WatchesEpitaph Records, and the Art Theatre [2025 E. 4th, Long Beach] are excited to bring FILMAGE: The Story of DESCENDENTS/ALLto Southern California for a FREE fan screening on Sunday, August 25th at 11AM at the Art Theatre [2025 E. 4th Street, LBC 90814].

Long before Green Day and Blink-182 inflicted punk-rock’s puncture wound on the map of mainstream music, the Descendents were in a garage concocting the perfect mix of pop, angst, love, and coffee. FILMAGE: The Story of DESCENDENTS/ALL follows band leader/drummer/square-peg Bill Stevenson and his “caffeinated retardedness” as he pushes his rotating door of bandmates to “achieve ALL,” his philosophy of going for greatness at all costs. Stevenson is a force to be reckoned with, proving that not even a grapefruit-sized brain tumor can keep him down. Featuring interviews with the band, along with Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Mike Watt (Minutemen), Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion) and many more reveal the story of a band – if not THE band – responsible for pop-punk as you know it.

RETOX RELEASE BLOODY NEW VIDEO FOR ‘MATURE SCIENCE’

(March 27th, Los Angeles, CA) The provocative SoCal band RETOX have unleashed a brand new video, a heart – stopping thriller that portrays the band’s kinetic, challenging energy in their latest track release, “MATURE SCIENCE.”  Combining the jagged edges of stripped down/back-to-basics rock n’ roll with bombastic attitude and art-rock intelligentsia, using the prism of the past to look toward the potential brilliance of the future, RETOX’s YPLL arrives via Epitaph Records on May 7th, 2013.

Directed by Simon Chan, the new video features the band in a riot-like scenario, where the band kidnaps  a police officer and brings him to an undisclosed location. The  disturbing story unfolds in 2:47 minutes, ending in an intense, bloody scene that can only be fully realized by watching the video.

Check out the new video via Lambgoat.com here: http://lambgoat.com/features/69/Retox-Mature-Science-video-premiere

Guitarist Michael Crain offers, “Retox does not in any way condone or advocate the harming of police officers. We do however feel that our society as a whole would be far safer and not as unjustly regulated if local, state, and federal law enforcement were required to memorize the lyrics to Black Flag’s “Police Story” and N.W.A’s “Fuck tha Police!”

Retox deliver a mission statement in 12 blistering tracks, the vast majority of them clocking in at two minutes or less. It’s the type of rallying battle cry that inspires lingering and dormant primal urges and too-long-suppressed societal dissatisfaction in those who encounter its punk rock lineage and postmodern crash-and-ban.

In May, the band will take their energetic live performance across North America.

PRE-ORDERS are now live for RETOX’s YPLL, which will arrive in-stores and online on May 7th. Please go to: www.kingsroadmerch.com/epitaphrecords

Bring Me The Horizon – Shadow Moses

BRING ME THE HORIZON UNVEIL STUNNING NEW VIDEO FOR “SHADOW MOSES”New Album Sempiternal Out April 30th 2013

The UK’s biggest heavy music exports, Bring Me The Horizon have released new music video “Shadow Moses” from their highly anticipated new album Sempiternal out April 30th via Epitaph Records. With a history of creating beautiful, visually stunning and compelling imagery alongside their magnificently fierce sound,  “Shadow Moses” takes Bring Me The Horizon to the next level of music video artistry.

Check out the video for “Shadow Moses” here:

Shot on the snowy and foggy shoreline of Germany’s largest island, Rugen, the performance video for  “Shadow Moses” takes from the song’s lyrical theme of “going nowhere” and creates an abstract and fragmented narrative that cues fans about to what’s to come in the next BMTH video. On a technical side, the video was shot with a “camera – shift technique” developed by director, Fabian Röttger, that gives the viewer a 3D like experience without the need of special screen or glasses.

What’s being said about “Shadow Moses”?

Bring Me The Horizon continue to evolve with each album and the band is ready to kick off 2013 by showing a bit of their musical growth with the new song ‘Shadow Moses. –  Loudwire.com[4.5/5 Stars] BRING ME THE HORIZON have sharpened their teeth and they’re about to tear through heavy music again with another masterwork. – Artist Direct

Loaded with churning guitar riffs and boasting an anthemic chorus that captures the track’s heavy mood, it’s certainly a powerful first look at what’s to come. – PureVolume
