Groundbreaking Band To Play Coachella and Way Out West Festival
The groundbreaking, highly influential Swedish hardcore band Refused have announced a series of shows scheduled for summer 2012. This is the band’s first appearance since their breakup in the late ‘90s and will include performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13th and 20th and the Way Out West Festival in Sweden Aug 9-11.

…It’s been a motley 14 years since our band came apart. We’ve all kept busy in our respective endeavors but we’ve all remained friends and kept in touch. There have been offers, and lots of jokes about these offers. We’ve sort of looked down from our high horses and made fun of people who’ve just wanted to share the psychopathic intensity that we would deliver on a nightly basis in our post-pubescent prime. A reunion has just seemed irrelevant to us. Too much other shit to do…

Originally released in 1998, The Shape of Punk to Come “blurred the lines that separate punk, metal and hardcore, while peppering this brutal fusion with bits of techno percussion, jazzy rhythmic change-ups and long, complex song structures that support politically-charged messages,” (CMJ,1998). Refused’s most critically acclaimed and final album exploded on the scene with the jaw-dropping hardcore anthem “New Noise,” which helped change the game forever by influencing a range of genres to this day, which includes being named “Best New Re-issue” by Pitchfork.com in 2010.
THE MENZINGERS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM
Band To Tour In Support Of Anticipated Epitaph Records Debut
Rising punk rock band The Menzingers create a rousing sound featuring crashing power chords, rock steady drumming and anthemic sing-along choruses alongside powerfully poetic everyman lyrics. On The Impossible Past was recorded at Atlas Studios in Chicago with longtime collaborators Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) and Justin Yates. While the record retains all the raucous spirit of the band’s earlier efforts sonically, it’s a monumental step forward. “I think that ‘Gates’ is one of the most mature songs on the album,” guitarist/vocalist Tom May explains, referencing the tender rock song sung by Barnett that truly transcends genres. “I hope it surprises people because it’s not a straight-forward punk song with gang vocals or anything like that but it still definitely sounds like us.”

Revered Southern California rock ‘n’ roll band Social Distortion will be performing at the upcoming “WreX The Halls” concert hosted by popular San Diego radio station 91X. The legendary band will be performing December 11th on night two, alongside Blink 182, Pennywise and more. The concert will take place in San Diego.

Influential punk rockers Bad Religion have released a moving video for the new single, “Wrong Way Kids” from the group’s critically heralded album, The Dissent of Man. The song is an up-tempo, powerfully melodic tribute to the band and their fan’s shared histories as rebellious yet durable outsiders.The new video can be viewed here.
The footage begins in present day with lead singer Greg Graffin offering a knowing message of hope for Bad Religion’s many fans: “Even though they’re misfits,” he states, “There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.” A subsequent shot reveals a defiantly unconventional Graffin on stage with the band back in 1984 counting down the song intro. From there it’s a surging beat, powerful guitars and signature sing-along chorus set against a stirring non stop montage of found footage showing the band’s remarkable rise from teen rebels to international punk luminaries.
Bad Religion is continuing to inspire generations and earning enthusiastic reviews on a tour of North America with hardcore stars Rise Against.

April 19, 2011 – Los Angeles, CA – Having already toured most of the U.S. this year, seasoned punk road warriors Off With Their Heads have just announced a nationwide summer tour with Dead To Me and Riverboat Gamblers. Including punk rock pit stops at the Punk Rock Bowling Tournament in Las Vegas with Dropkick Murphy’s on May 28th and Chaos in Tejas Fest June 4th, Epitaph label head and Bad Religion founder Brett Gurewitz proclaims, “Off With Their Heads might just be the best punk band going right now.”
Recently coming off of a full Dropkick Murphy’s tour and a two month stint with Bad Religion, the band will be playing songs from the heralded new album In Desolation which the band admits was recorded while drinking cheap beer and watching nightmarish episodes of Jersey Shore. Alternative Press described OWTH by saying “If Against Me! and The Ramones had a bastard love child and taught the kid to brush his teeth with cement mix, you’d get Off With Their Heads.”
