Off With Their Heads U.S. Summer Tour

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS U.S. SUMMER TOUR WITH DEAD TO ME & RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS
April 19, 2011 – Los Angeles, CA – Having already toured most of the U.S. this year, seasoned punk road warriors Off With Their Heads have just announced a nationwide summer tour with Dead To Me and Riverboat Gamblers. Including punk rock pit stops at the Punk Rock Bowling Tournament in Las Vegas with Dropkick Murphy’s on May 28th and Chaos in Tejas Fest June 4th, Epitaph label head and Bad Religion founder Brett Gurewitz proclaims, “Off With Their Heads might just be the best punk band going right now.”

Recently coming off of a full Dropkick Murphy’s tour and a two month stint with Bad Religion, the band will be playing songs from the heralded new album In Desolation which the band admits was recorded while drinking cheap beer and watching nightmarish episodes of Jersey Shore. Alternative Press described OWTH by saying “If Against Me! and The Ramones had a bastard love child and taught the kid to brush his teeth with cement mix, you’d get Off With Their Heads.”

Billy Brown Tour 2011

PUNK ROCKER BILLY BROWN ANNOUNCES 2011 TOUR AND RELEASE OF SOLO ACOUSTIC RECORD

Billy Brown (Ashers, Deadly Sins, Crash and Burn) Announces Forthcoming Solo Album “Best Of Tragedies” and 2011 Tour

BOSTON, Mass.  April 13, 2011 – Massachusetts singer/songwriter and musician, Billy Brown, announced today that he will kick off his first solo tour hitting the east coast with some dates in the south with a show at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, April 13th. Available on on this tour will be a limited number of EP’s as a preview of Billy’s first solo album. The album, “Best Of Tragedies,” is set for release in September of this year,  The self-titled EP will feature four songs from the upcoming album and will only be available on this tour.  Brown will be touring with War of Words as a solo acoustic act.  War of Words just released their LP, “Dimworld Act 3,” which Brown produced.

Billy’s first solo record “Best Of Tragedies” was co-produced by Shawn Harris (The Matches, Maniac) and features lots of people in more successful bands playing various instruments. This is not a punk record, but more of a melancholy, acoustically driven record. The songs cover such lighthearted topics as death, addiction, self-destruction, and self-loathing. It’s great music to wallow in self-pity with, in the dark, by yourself.

The illustrations for both the EP and the upcoming LP were created by award-winning illustrator Emily Flake, best known for her comic strip “Lulu Eightball,” as well as her illustrations for The New Yorker and other major publications.

Billy Brown has been a staple of the Boston punk rock scene for years. Some of the bands Billy has played in are Crash and Burn, Deadly Sins, Ashers, and Shoot The Hostages. He has also filled in on guitar for The Unseen and The Pinkerton Thugs. Over the years he has toured extensively in North America and Europe with a lot of well-known bands that are probably in your record collection, providing that you have good records.

As 2011 unfolds, Billy Brown will be announcing more shows and events in support of the upcoming release of “Best Of Tragedies.”
