After filling in as guest drummer on dates with TSOL Dave Raun will be joining the band full time replacing drummer Roy Mayorga. “Dave is a badass… We stayed at his house when our van broke down in Fresno on the Warped Tour and it just clicked. He came in, killed it on the TSOL tour, and has brought a whole new energy to the band. Roy is an old friend and amazing drummer who will definitely be missed. We wish him all the best and there are no hard feelings. Losing Roy for Dave is a quality problem that we can’t really complain about! Fresh off a successful tour with T.S.O.L. Los Angeles based Black President show no sign of slowing down as they continue on the road for a trek of southern dates with Left Alone leading into east coast dates with Bouncing Souls.

Black President is: Charlie Paulson (who, at the time, had vacated his
position in the pop punk-ska outfit Goldfinger) on guitar who began working with vocalist/guitarist Christian Martucci (formerly of The Strychnine Babies and Dee Dee Ramone’s band), Martucci and Paulson not only saw eye-to-eye on their message, but on the potential for a new musical fusion.
Most recently joining the band’s fulltime line-up drummer Dave Raun (Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies and RKL) and east-coast hardcore veteran Jason Christopher on bass completing the punk rock all-star line-up.
